We are seeking a Florida Licensed Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM) to support a growing transportation practice serving public infrastructure clients throughout Florida.
This role will oversee transportation survey projects, provide technical leadership, review survey deliverables, and ensure compliance with FDOT standards and Florida surveying regulations. Whether you're an early-career licensed surveyor looking to continue developing your expertise or an experienced professional seeking greater responsibility, we'd love to hear from you.
Experience performing or managing transportation and roadway survey projects
Familiarity with FDOT standards, procedures, and survey requirements
Experience reviewing plats, legal descriptions, boundary surveys, right-of-way mapping, and construction staking
Working knowledge of survey equipment, GPS, robotic total stations, and data collection technologies
Experience processing point cloud data is a plus
Familiarity with MicroStation, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Cyclone, OpenRoads, or similar software is beneficial
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
Ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers, and public agencies
Mobile LiDAR data acquisition or processing
Utility corridor or right-of-way surveys
Topographic surveys for transportation design
QA/QC of survey deliverables
Project management and client interaction
Experience supporting large FDOT District projects
Lead and oversee transportation surveying projects from planning through final deliverables
Review and certify survey documents and mapping products
Mentor survey technicians and field crews
Coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and public agency clients
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
