Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - School Nursing - Part Time

Ignite is hiring an LPN to provide nursing services for students that attend Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center.

Pay Rate $25 per hour

Provide medical care to ill, injured students at GACTC according to list of standing orders provided by medical doctor
Keep record of all services provided to students in computer charging software
Order medical supplies when needed for nurse's office
Coordinate student medical orders/needs as needed with students' home school nurse and GACTC instructors, as permitted following confidentiality requirements
Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and/or special events as assigned
Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and/or special events as assigned
Work with children with disabilities
Licensed Practical Nurse License or trained and competent for health and/or emergency delivery service.
CPR and First Aid certification
Knowledgeable in emergency treatment and facilities available for referrals for life-threatening situations.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. Note: The specific responsibilities and qualifications may vary based on the policies of regulations governing child care and education.
