We're looking for a psychiatrist who wants to practice great psychiatric care with kids, families, and young adults without the demands of a full-time schedule.

Backpack Healthcare provides mental health care for children, teens, and young adults all online, covered by most insurance. We're clinician-led and minority-owned, and our psychiatrists are a core part of an integrated care team, not a separate service line. You'll work alongside PMHNPs, therapists, and care coordinators who are all focused on the same patients.

You'll carry a part-time caseload of 1522 hours per week, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment via telehealth. Afternoon and evening availability is required. Weekend hours are available based on patient demand.

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments across the lifespan

Develop individualized treatment plans including medication management and therapy recommendations

Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, primary care providers, schools, and families

Stay current on developments in psychiatric care and evidence-based treatment

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completed psychiatry residency

Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry

Active Georgia medical license and DEA license

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly encouraged

Experience in outpatient, community mental health, or integrated care settings preferred

Familiarity with telepsychiatry platforms and EHR systems preferred
