Pay Rate: $1,900 To $2,124/Week

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience: Minimum 2 years required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Stroke Stepdown Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Utica, New York. This role supports adult patients on a 64-bed medical-surgical stroke stepdown unit and requires strong med surg experience, stroke stepdown experience, EPIC documentation skills, prior travel experience, and the ability to provide safe care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult med surg and stroke stepdown patients
• Monitor patients with stroke, altered mental status, renal, dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and pulmonary conditions
• Manage IV pumps, N/G tubes, feeding tubes, and other unit-specific patient care needs
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and updates accurately using EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support safe patient outcomes throughout the shift

Requirements

• Active New York RN License Required
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience with stroke stepdown experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• AHA BLS/BCLS And NIHSS Certifications Required
• Must provide skills checklist, driver's license, NURSYS verification, and RTO at submission
