Welders - 1st, 2nd & weekend shift!!

Shifts:

1. st Shift (Assembly area): 5:30am - 2:00pm with daily and weekend OT as needed
2. nd Shift (Assembly): 4:30pm - 1:00am with daily and weekend OT as needed

2nd Shift (Metal Fab): 2:45pm – 11:15pm with daily and weekend OT as needed

Plus Shift Differential for 2nd Shift: $2.00 per hour

The position will be responsible tacking and solid welding of a water tight weld on Stainless Steel Cold Water Basin. The role may assume additional duties as assigned for the complete process of the welded basin which may include performing basin modification or sub assembly to support the assembly line. Pull parts

• Reference engineering drawings to perform solid or tack welding
• Use welding equipment, tape measures, and hand tools safely and effectively
• Identify parts using the build order
• Pick correct template in coordination with the build order or engineering drawing
• Accurately perform any necessary cutting within the cooling tower by using the correct template and appropriate cutting tool (reference assembly manual for modification instructions)
• Perform welding based upon tower and/or engineering specs
• Perform leak testing
• Use an overhead crane

Ability to adapt to change and flex his/her work at appropriate times so as to support the assembly process

Ability to correctly use crane and air float

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required

AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.2 welding qualified preferred, but not required

Previous Stainless Steel Welding experience on 11 gauge through 18 gauge preferred, but not required

Previous welding experience

50+ pounds with assistance

Plant environment with potential exposure to all types of weather, including excessive heat, excessive cold, and excessive noise
