Unit details include:Specialization: 15 bed ICU catering specifically to the liver transplant and transplant hepatology populations with critical care needs.Patient Care Ratios: Enjoy 1:1 and 1:2 nurse to patient ratios tailored to the complexity of patient assignments.Provider Coverage: Benefit from round-the-clock in-person provider coverage on the unit, ensuring optimal patient care.In 2023 alone, VCU Health completed an impressive 205 liver transplants!Academic Excellence: VCU Health is an academic teaching facility, offering a dynamic environment for learning and professional growth.Magnet Designation: Join a magnet organization renowned for its commitment to nursing excellence and patient-centered care.Cutting-Edge Technology: As an Epic organization from an EHR standpoint, we provide the tools and resources needed to deliver high-quality care efficiently.Apply now and become a part of our innovative team dedicated to transforming healthcare!Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:Clin I, Clin II, Clin III: Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Continued Employment:Clin I, Clin II, Clin III: Current RN licensure in Virginia, AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.Experience Required:Clin I: N/AClin II: 12 to 24 months RN experienceClin III: 3 years of clinical experienceExperience Preferred:Clin I: Experience as an LPN, nursing assistant or care partner in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practiceClin II, Clin III: Academic health care experience; experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practiceEducation/Training Required:Clin I, Clin II, Clin III: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date unless grandfathered under previous requirements.Education/Training Preferred:Clin I, Clin II, Clin III: Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited programClin III: Certification in specialty areaEEO Employer/Disabled/Protected Veteran/41 CFR 60-1.4.
