Overview Sentara is hiring a Clinical Dietitian for the following outpatient rehab therapy centers: Sentara Therapy Center Gloucester, Sentara Therapy Center Coliseum (located in Hampton). This is a hybrid role that offers remote flexibility with on-site days divided between the Gloucester and Coliseum locations. This is a Full-Time, day shift opportunity with great benefits.
May include individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition, community outreach, public education and scheduling.
Performs nutrition assessment of a wide variety of acute and chronic disease states, individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition.
Serves as a Sentara representative for health fairs, media outreach, and community presentations.
Communicates and collaborates with providers and other members of the healthcare team for referrals, clinical diagnostic data, weekly rounds and any other patient care meetings as needed.
Registered Dietitian (RD) must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Verification statements required for those candidates awaiting RD credentialing.
If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.
NBCOT (National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required within 6 months of eligibility.
