Automation Systems Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

Build, scale, and secure enterprise infrastructure across Windows, Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization environments.

Use modern engineering practices including Infrastructure-as-Code, container orchestration, and software-defined storage.

Implement scalable, automated, monitored, and well-documented systems; provide training for operational tasks.

Apply knowledge from large-scale production environments to solve enterprise customer issues.

Participate in incident root-cause analysis across compute, storage, and network layers, implementing reliable solutions.

Skills:

• Kubernetes and/or Slurm.
• Deep knowledge of Windows/Windows Server/RHEL and Linux internals.
• 5+ years of coding in OO/functional languages or PowerShell (advanced modules/functions).
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift 30 lbs, have reliable transportation, and type 50 WPM.
• 5+ years in systems engineering and automation.
• 5+ years working with monitoring/configuration tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell DSC, etc.).
• 5+ years coding with Python, Ruby, PHP, Rust, Go, or advanced PowerShell scripting.
• Strong understanding of Windows/Windows Server internals and Linux.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenCue, and Slurm.
• Ability to deliver tasks/features with minimal guidance.

Education/Experience:

BS/MS in CS, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

Experience supporting multi-region configuration management.

Experience building services, PaaS, internal clouds, and integrating APIs for automation.

Chef experience is highly preferred.
