Rehab PTA - Full Time

The organization provides longitudinal, condition-specific care for individuals whose swelling is often overlooked or inadequately managed in traditional settings. Role Description The Physical Therapist Assistant at EdemaCare will support physical therapists in delivering specialized care for individuals with chronic edema and lymphedema. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training, assisting with compression and edema management techniques, and monitoring patient responses to interventions. The role also involves documenting clinical activities, collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team, educating patients and caregivers on self-management strategies, and participating in ongoing quality and outcomes improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA, working directly with patients in a clinical setting.
Qualifications Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Georgia, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.
Foundational clinical skills in therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, and patient assessment within a physical therapy setting.
Experience or strong interest in edema and lymphedema management, including compression therapy, skin care, and patient education for chronic condition management.
Proficiency in clinical documentation, time management, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards in an outpatient or specialty practice environment.
Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA, with reliable attendance and readiness to adapt to evolving clinical protocols and best practices.
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program; prior experience in vascular, oncology, cardiac rehab, or wound-related care is beneficial but not required.
