It is a teaching facility and serves a diverse patient population.
The unit comprises labor rooms, mother/baby rooms, and triage beds.
The average volume is approximately 110 deliveries per month.
Nurse-to-patient ratios follow established guidelines.
The equipment used includes electronic health records systems.
Flexibility and strong communication skills are crucial for this role.
