About the Position

Travel RN – Medical/Telemetry Observation Unit (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Medical/Telemetry Observation unit with night shift ratios of 1:6 (stretch 1:7)
Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and respond to cardiac rhythm changes appropriately
Perform unit procedures including Foley catheter insertion and IV starts
Operate and manage Baxter infusion pumps and related equipment
Document patient care accurately using Cerner/PowerChart EMR
Float to other med-surg levels of care as needed, including trauma, renal, neuro, ortho, spine, and general surgery units
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Telemetry certification
Proficiency with Cerner/PowerChart EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
Med-Surg certification
Experience in a fast-paced observation or telemetry unit environment
Outgoing, team-oriented personality with the ability to thrive in a high-volume setting
