About Emergent Learning Clinic
We are a medical clinic specializing in behavioral health for a specific client population. We work to improve the lives of children with autism and other behavior disorders ranging from mild to severe. The type of therapy we provide is called Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

ABA is a form of therapy based on the science of learning and behavior in which a primary strategy is the use of positive reinforcement. Scientific principles govern and inform our practice. Among the many goals we have for our clients are to increase language and communication skills, develop and improve social and life skills, and decrease negative behaviors.

Emergent Learning Clinic is seeking a passionate and driven Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.

Some remote work flexibility with approval from the Clinical Director, while maintaining a primary presence in the clinic.

Analyze data and make data-driven treatment decisions.

Provide training, consultation, and support to parents, caregivers, and team members.

Uphold ethical, consistent, and high-quality clinical standards across all areas of practice in accordance with BACB guidelines.

Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or a related field that meets the educational requirements for BCBA certification is required.

Current BCBA certification is preferred. Candidates who are in the final stages of an ABA master’s program and are actively working toward BCBA certification are also encouraged to apply.

Active Iowa licensure as a Behavior Analyst or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Current CPR, HIPAA, and Mandatory Reporter (child and dependent adult abuse) certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

1+ year of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, families, and team members, and provide constructive, supportive feedback to clinical staff.

This position involves physical care which may require moving children between the ages of 12-48 months.

Mobility: Ability to move freely and quickly around a room, including kneeling, squatting, bending, twisting, crawling, and sitting on the floor. Ability to maintain physical activity for extended periods, especially when working with clients who may require frequent movement or redirection. Dexterity: Good hand coordination for data collection on electronic devices.

Visual Acuity: Clear vision to observe client behaviors and monitor data.

Must pass a background check, including criminal history and child/dependent adult abuse screenings.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
