Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Austin, Texas. This contract position involves providing high-quality emergency care within a busy stand-alone emergency department. The RN will be responsible for patient assessment, IV starts, EKG monitoring, and other emergency procedures, supporting a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

Location: Austin, Texas

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications: Certification(s) in BLS and ACLS, valid RN license in Texas, 0 years of experience (entry-level candidates accepted)

Preferred Qualifications: FSED (Freestanding Emergency Department) experience, previous use of Meditech electronic medical record system, IV insertion skills, ability to perform 12-lead EKG and patient assessment

Type of staff: 1 RN and 1 CNC (Certified Nursing Assistant) per shift

Patient Ratios: Not specified

Equipment: Ventilator, Point-of-Care (POC) testing devices, lab machines

Typical procedures performed: IV starts, 12-lead EKG, patient assessment

Dress code: Navy blue scrubs; no inappropriate attire permitted

Unit policies and guidelines: Provided separately
