Cleaners perform routine manual labor requiring medium to heavy physical effort, with basic knowledge of various cleaning products and equipment; and the ability to climb scaffolding. The cleaner positions may be available for various shifts and may be full or part-time.
Cleans, stocks, and supplies designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, using auto scrubbers, shampooers and burnishers)
Shovels snow around sidewalks and stairs surrounding campus building
Carries out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
Safe use and application of cleaning chemicals
Performs and documents routine inspection and maintenance activities
Overtime may be required as needed
There are no education or experience requirements for this class. Cleaners must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
