Ready to contribute to the success of our food solutions company? This role is responsible for ensuring the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products. Receives stock, cuts, grinds, wraps, weighs, prices, and merchandises meat department products to department specifications. May order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen food products that fall under the meat department. Ensures proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness. Perform duties that comply with local health code and follow proper safety procedures and standards. This position requires working weekends and holidays based on department staffing requirements.

Receive and fulfill all customer orders

Wrap, weigh, label and display all meat merchandise

Stock display case and rotate merchandise as requested

Assist customers with all inquiries and requests

Operate machinery by following proper department production and safety standards, as needed

Conducts inventories and cycle counts as required

Follows safe food handling and local health department standards.

Maintains a safe work environment for employees, vendors and customers.

Sustains a high level of product knowledge and product preparation work toward continuous quality improvement

Grind and trim meat upon customer's request

Inspect and reassemble equipment for use and perform routine maintenance as assigned

Clean and sanitize work area, equipment and utensils in compliance with health code

Demonstrate excellent customer service standards

Work toward continuous quality improvement

Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations

May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need

High school graduate or equivalent (GED)

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents

Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.)
