Job Description
Registered Nurse - Oncology
Schedule
Rotating shifts with the possibility of being scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both.
Assignment Details
Contract length is variable with potential for guaranteed hours per week.
Requirements

• 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a progressive care unit.
• Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH).
• Experience with high acuity PCU patients required.
• Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level.
• Strong skills in the interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of infusion therapies, and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with oncology diagnoses.
Monitor and interpret patient telemetry data.
Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.
Implement infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care management.
