TransTech Energy is a leading provider of engineered equipment solutions for processing, storing, distributing, and utilizing a wide variety of liquids and gases in the energy, renewables, chemical, and industrial end markets. Our diverse manufacturing and design portfolio includes ASME pressure vessels, API storage tanks, TEMA heat exchangers, packaged process equipment, reactors, distillation columns, and other custom designed applications. Our design, construction, and field service capabilities include gas processing, storage, and utilization projects in energy, power, industrial, and biogas markets. We have offices and manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, Oregon, Indiana, and Montana, and have field teams supporting North and South America. The Purchasing Agent will be an important contributor to the team. Maintaining vendor relationships and purchasing strategies that optimize purchasing costs and ensure that materials and supplies are available on a timely basis for field work and shop production. The position is responsible for purchasing across multiple facilities, including field operations and subcontractors.

Work with the team to establish procurement strategies for the acquisition of project materials and plant materials that optimize quality, cost, terms, and timely delivery

Evaluate and maintain reports for inventory reorder

Place purchase orders in response to Project Management orders, inventory stocking requirements as directed

Identifies actual and potential delivery problems and takes proactive steps to inform appropriate personnel

Order all parts and coordinate deliveries to field projects with production and field teams

Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiving reports

Experience with building vendor relationships

Minimum 2 years’ experience in purchasing

Good working knowledge of an ERP environment as it relates to purchasing (Syteline preferred)

Experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to Purchasing or Business Administration
