Cook - Weekend Shift

Job Title: Cook

Reports to: Director of Culinary

Position Scope: As a Cook, you will support the delivery and execution of quality food service to residents and guests.

Preparing ingredients for the shift; Preparing and operating kitchen equipment for shift.

Cooking order according to food health and safety standards.

Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.

Handling multiple food orders at one time.

Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive.

Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides.

Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner.

Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.

This position is a combination of weekday & weekend shifts. Typical weekday shift is 10am - 7pm

Typical weekend shift is 7am - 2pm

Two (2) years of experience as a cook preferred.

Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift.

Must have a strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to speak, read and write.

Hear - Must be able to hear telephone, audible alarms, bells, and signals related to resident safety with or without hearing devices.

Speech/Language - must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret medical and administration information.
