Position OverviewGrandcare Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice in Syracuse, New York. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. Our team is composed of experienced professionals, including two licensed physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for both staff and patients.Work EnvironmentThis position is primarily onsite, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The work setting is dynamic and engaging, focused on providing individualized care to patients within our orthopedics-focused practice. Our practice primarily caters to patients with private medical insurance, allowing for tailored service that addresses their unique rehabilitation needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess patients' physical conditions and establish therapy goals in collaboration with patients and healthcare providers.Maintain an optimal patient load of one patient per hour to ensure quality, focused care.Utilize evidence-based treatment methods to help patients improve their functional abilities and overall health.Develop and manage care plans incorporating a range of therapeutic techniques, ensuring adaptable approaches for varied patient needs.Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and document all therapy sessions comprehensively.Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.Promote a healthy lifestyle among patients by enhancing their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through engaging therapy sessions.Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment process to achieve personal health goals.Patient Population / Client FocusOur patient base primarily consists of individuals dealing with orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. We take pride in our personalized approach to therapy, where we actively listen to our patients' concerns and adapt our strategies to meet their specific needs.QualificationsA Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State.No disciplinary actions or board actions against your physical therapy license.Excellent manual therapy skills and a solid understanding of exercise prescription.Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for comprehensive documentation and patient management.Preferred ExperiencePrior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, enhancing your ability to provide specialized care.A track record of developing and implementing rehabilitation programs that cater to diverse patient needs.Experience working in a fast-paced environment, illustrating your ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize patient care.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
