Welder's Helper - Maintenance

Typical duties for a Welder Helper includes but are not limited to transporting materials, operating machinery, cleaning equipment, cleaning job sites, handing tools, disassembling defective products, and preparing raw materials for processing.

Performs any combination of the following duties to assist worker in welding and thermal cutting activities: Moves workpieces, tools and supplies manually or by hand-truck.

Cleans workpieces to remove impurities such as slag, rust and grease using wire bushes, portable grinders, hand scrapers or chemical solutions.

Connects hoses from hand torch to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders or connects cables from power source to electrode holder and workpiece or fixture.

May attach rigging equipment to objects in preparation for movement by crane or other hoisting mechanisms.

Welder Helpers must be willing to comply with PCM Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and regulations.
