Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Management - Nights

Position: Full Time - 36 Hours a week
Shift: Midnights
Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations
6 weeks of in person training at our command center in Detroit
Must be able to work on site when needed
General Summary Within the System Capacity Command Center (SC3) at Henry Ford Health, the Transfer Management Nurses use Henry Ford Health clinical knowledge and standard operating procedures to facilitate transfers into, out of and between all the hospitals in the Henry Ford Health system. Works in fast paced environment connecting providers, sending and receiving care teams, medical transportation, and financial clearance to lead the process to efficiently and safely move patients between facilities to the right location and appropriate level of care so patients can continue their care progress.
Education/Experience Rfequired Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related allied health discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of clinical experience, or direct capacity management experience (systems that support patient flow, transfer, clinical expediting, and admission processes). Experience facilitating patient placement or transfer preferred. Experience with systems that support patient flow, admission, transfer, care progression and discharge processes preferred. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and produce detailed and accurate work. Excellent clinical knowledge and assessment skills to evaluate and prioritize transfer issues. Ability to assess and handle highly sensitive and confidential matters with considerable discretion and independent judgement. Demonstrated positive work ethic and strong sense of teamwork/problem solving with co-workers. Understanding of Henry Ford Health policies and procedures preferred.
Certifications/Licensures Required Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
