This is an Individual Contributor position with the Site Pro 1 in the Telecom division. Working under the direction of the Facility Manager, and within the guidelines of established procedures, the Picker/Packer is responsible to accurately pick all communication tower components per the packing slip. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for general house keeping of their area.Essential FunctionsOperate the following pieces of production equipment: forkliftsAccurately pick, and pack items based on customer ordersInventory control activities including cycle countsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, although most frequent lift is 20 poundsAbility to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as work in non-temperature controlled environmentAbility to stand/walk up to 100% of shiftThis position reports into the Facility Manager and has no direct reportsRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)High school diploma/GED and 6+ months of relevant education/work experienceThe ability to perform basic mathematical functionsThe ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, accuratelyThe ability to work overtime, as business needs requireExperience operating a personal computerHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications1+ year of previous experience working in a warehouse facilityThe ability to solve complex problems with high attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment subject to specific deadlinesThe ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner and be an integral part of a team environmentBenefitsValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
