Responsibilities

Perform venipunctures and finger sticks to collect blood specimens

Verify test requisitions and patient identification before collection

Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique and isolation procedures

Track and document collected specimens with initials, dates, and times

Resolve discrepancies in test orders by contacting relevant personnel

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Phlebotomy certificate if required by state

Bachelor's degree preferred

Ability to adhere to professional standards and regulatory requirements
