Construction Project Engineer
Our client is a well-established general contractor focused on federal and public-sector construction projects across the Western U.Known for delivering projects with heavy civil and infrastructure components, they maintain a strong backlog of secured work and a reputation for quality, safety, and execution. The company offers a structured environment for growth, where Project Engineers receive direct mentorship from experienced Project Managers and Superintendents while gaining exposure to complex government projects.
Support project teams in managing day-to-day operations across active construction sites. Coordinate and track submittals, RFIs, and project documentation to ensure timely approvals and compliance. Assist in project scheduling and progress tracking, identifying risks and delays. Collaborate with Superintendents and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications. Maintain accurate project records, including logs for RFIs, submittals, change orders, and inspections. Coordinate with third-party inspectors and testing agencies as required. Support quality control and safety compliance efforts on-site. Participate in project meetings and assist in communication with stakeholders.

1-5+ years of experience in construction (Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role). Exposure to federal construction projects preferred (NAVFAC, USACE, VA, etc.). Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both field and office teams. Ability to meet federal security clearance requirements.
