What You Will DoWe are hiring a high-performing Manager, Operations to partner closely with the SVP, Operations in driving the company's highest priority initiatives and operational performance for one of Shields' anchor partners and, ultimately, the broader region.This role sits at the center of regional decision-making, providing visibility into operations, growth initiatives, financial performance, and executive stakeholder engagement. You will combine strategic problem-solving, rigorous analytics, and structured execution to help the organization operate with speed, accountability, and precision.This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Raleigh/Durham (4 days/week in office). Core ResponsibilitiesStrategic Operations, Growth & Partnership ManagementSupport day-to-day management of a health system partner and help drive operational, strategic, and growth initiatives – including designing workflows, drafting standard operating procedures, and operationalizing delivery of new therapies across sites of carePartner with hospital executives, clinicians, and cross-functional teams to create and execute operating plans, implement new services, and ensure successful program performanceIdentify opportunities for service-line expansion, operational improvement, and scalable growth while helping codify best practices across the organizationDevelop and lead implementation of new programs, services, and operational initiatives across sites of care and service linesFinancial & Performance ManagementSupport management of the partnership P&L, including forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and financial performance reviewsEstablish, track, and report on key operational and financial performance indicatorsBuild and maintain KPI dashboards, financial models, operating reviews, ROI analyses, and capacity assessments that support decision-making and future investmentIdentify risks and opportunities and translate insights into actionable recommendationsExecutive Operations & Program ExecutionLead cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and outcomesPrepare executive presentations, business reviews, and decision-support analyses for internal and external stakeholdersCoordinate leadership meetings, track commitments, and build operating rhythms, governance processes, and project plans that drive accountability and executionContinuously improve processes, tools, and operating mechanisms to enhance scalability, efficiency, and organizational disciplineContribute to service expansion initiatives and the development of operational and technology-enabled solutions that improve program performance and scalability What We OfferA front-row seat to how a high-growth healthcare company is built and scaledOwnership of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives with direct patient and business impactThe opportunity to help expand access to life-changing therapies for patients in high-acuity disease statesDirect mentorship from senior operators responsible for building and scaling one of the fastest-growing advanced therapies platforms in the countryHands-on experience managing a complex healthcare business, including broad exposure to operations, analytics, pharma pipeline development, and clinical leadershipA clear path to grow into operational leadership roles within the region or elsewhere in the organization What You NeedRequired QualificationsBachelor 's degree required5+ years of experience in a high-performance, fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and financial modeling capabilitiesExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to drive interdepartmental collaboration and distill complex information into clear recommendationsFluency in PowerPoint and advanced proficiency in ExcelProven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environmentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistently high-quality workPreferred QualificationsExperience in consulting, strategy & operations, corporate development, transformation, healthcare operations, investment banking, or similarly rigorous environmentsExperience supporting senior executives and leading cross-functional initiativesExperience building dashboards, reporting tools, and performance management systemsEpic and/or Cerner experience preferred and PowerBI experience beneficialSuccess ProfileIntellectually curious and data- drivenEntrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguityOrganized, execution-oriented, and accountable for outcomesEffective under pressure and capable of managing competing prioritiesPassionate about improving patient access to innovative therapies CompensationCompetitive base salary with bonus opportunity tied to outcomes metrics, with comprehensive benefits coverage also offered.
