Laborist Opening in Ohio – $400K Base + $75K Sign-On Located in Newark, OH – 30 minutes east of ColumbusFull-time, hospital-employed Laborist opportunity as part of a newly launched dedicated Laborist Program serving a rapidly growing community in central Ohio. This model supports a dual-structure obstetric program combining traditional and hospital-based care. Position Highlights -$400,000 base salary-$75,000 sign-on bonus-7–8 twenty-four-hour shifts per month-Maximum of 3 consecutive shifts-Not required to remain in-house but must respond within 30 minutes-24/7 in-house anesthesia and pediatric coverage-Midwife coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM-Level II Special Care Nursery with pediatric support-Maternal Fetal Medicine support from Columbus for high-risk cases-State-of-the-art L&D suites with centralized and wireless fetal monitoring-DaVinci robotic system available-Dedicated physician lounge and sleeping quarters Clinical Responsibilities -Manage scheduled C-sections and urgent/emergent OB/GYN surgical cases-Approximately 25% C-section rate-Provide continuous OB coverage during shifts-Perform limited gynecologic surgical procedures (5–10%)-Conduct daily inpatient rounds Qualifications -MD or DO from an accredited medical school-Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology-Eligible for Ohio medical licensure-Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care Compensation & Benefits -$400,000 base salary-$75,000 sign-on bonus-5 CME days and $6,000 annual CME allowance-Free on-site CME opportunities weekly-Occurrence-based malpractice coverage-Paid relocation assistance-Employer-funded 403(b)-Employee-funded 457 retirement plan-Low-cost health, vision, and dental insurance Hospital Overview -227 licensed beds-Sole hospital serving the county-Serving the community since 1898-Recognized for patient safety, innovation, and workplace excellence Location Highlights – Newark, Ohio -30 minutes from Columbus-Near Granville, New Albany, Pataskala, and Heath-Top-rated public schools in Granville and New Albany-Excellent private school options-Range of housing from affordable to luxury communities-Access to major metro amenities while enjoying a suburban lifestyle
