RN - Operating Room (OR)Shift Details: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hours.Start Date: 11/16/2026, End Date: 05/17/2027, Duration: 26 weeks.Description: Please review submittal instructions and provide answers upon submission within submittal notes to AM (Interview Availability, Housing Review, and RTO/SD Confirmation). Traveler chooses!Position / Specialty: Operating roomShift: ALT -1045-2115/1245-2315, 23 rooms.Years of experience required: Minimum 2.5 years' experience required. First-timers accepted: No. Weekend required: 1 per month.Certifications required: BLS required. CNOR preferred.Is on-call required? Yes, 1/week though it's not usually that often anymore.Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Within skill set-rarely happens.Open to accommodating block schedule? No.Locals accepted: No-must live at least 50 miles from facility to apply.Must have active IL license in hand or be in application process to apply. RTO Restrictions: All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by manager.Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.Special Requirements: Will work with all service lines except CV. General OR and Trauma experience required. Cerner experience preferred. Level I trauma experience required. Required Bariatric Case Experience: Laparoscopic assisted cases. Required General Surgery Case Experience: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple. Required Neurology Case Skills/Experience: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion. Required Orthopedic Case Skills/Experience: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures. Required Plastic Surgery Case Skills/Experience: Free Flap - Microvascular. Required Transplant Skills/Experience: Organ donation. Required Urology Case Skills/Experience: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy. Required Trauma Case Skills/Experience: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries). Required Emergency management Skills/Experience: Code response, Fire safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia. Required Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies Experience: Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Administration of blood products, Infection control, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization.Hospital Highlights: Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital.
