SUD Psychiatrist

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the SUD psychiatrist is responsible for medication management for patients, including providing supportive psychotherapy when indicated, evaluating and providing medical treatment for patients presenting to the clinic. This position will be housed within the newly developed National Center for Warrior Independence at the Greater Los Angeles VA.

Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): May be eligible for highly qualified candidate.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.

CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification).

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Teaching The incumbent may participate in supervision of psychiatry residents and may assist in organizing resident training in the SUD program. They may also be responsible for addressing clinic operation needs as it relates to resident training.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30 PM
