Dietary Aid, Temporary Part Time or Full Time

Founded in 1966, Friendship offers diverse senior living accommodations, award-winning care, new and innovative services, as well as specialized rehab and therapy, to over 1,500 residents and patients each day. With four campuses, the earliest dating back to 1919, Friendship has grown to offer the full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, home care, outpatient therapy, inpatient rehab, long-term care and Alzheimer's and memory care. As a non-profit, Friendship provides a caring community to serve a wide-range of residents including those with limited financial means. Friendship is looking for Dietary Aides to join our Richfield Assisted Living team, located in Salem, VA. The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions and for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
Shifts Available:

Part-Time: 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm, includes every other weekend
Full-Time: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, includes every other weekend
Prepares beverages for residents
Prepares food items such as sandwiches, desserts, salads, snack trays and beverages, etc. Assist with delivery of food items to residents when needed
Clean and sanitize all areas in dining room, and designed "back of house" areas such as stock rooms, employee bathroom and chemical storage areas.
Clears tables and cleans/sanitizes tables in dining room.
General cleaning of dining room floors, walls, windows, etc.
Reports for assigned shift in proper attire (closed toe shoes, hairnet, clean appropriate clothing/uniform, etc.)
Correctly and safely operates kitchen equipment and utensils for food preparation, service and cleaning (ex: dishwasher, disposal, refrigerator, freezers, carts, serving utensils, blender can open, coffee makers, toasters, etc.)
High school diploma or equivalent
Food service experience preferred
