Position Summary:
The Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service to restaurant guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant and satisfying dining experience. Servers act as the main point of contact between guests and the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about menu items.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
Check guests IDs to verify legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service laws.
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests.
Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens.
Clear tables and assist with resetting as needed.
Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit transactions.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
Work collaboratively with bussers, food runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Prior serving experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Basic math and POS (point-of-sale) system skills.
