The Club Health and Rehab Center is looking for Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their team!
- ABOUT THE CLUB HEALTH & REHAB CENTER - Located in The Villages, FL, we are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility that is dedicated to helping our residents maximize their potential and live their lives to the fullest. We offer a modern, comfortable, and secure facility staffed by caring professionals where individuals receive the finest sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour skilled nursing care. Summary of the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA):
A PTA is responsible for assisting Physical Therapist in helping patients recover and rehabilitate from the effects of a serious illness, injury or medical event, regaining their own best possible level of functional ability, well-being and independence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA):
Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
- Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
Job Requirements of Registered Physical Therapists (PTA):
- Current Florida License as a PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)
- At least one (1) experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
Our facility uses the Florida Background Screening Clearinghouse, 435.12, Florida Statutes.
