This position is part of the AbilityOne Program , which provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. AbilityOne is one of the largest sources of employment for people who are blind or have significant disabilities. Through nonprofit agencies (like ours), the program provides products and services, including janitorial and manufacturing services. The program also requires that 75% of the services provided be completed by individuals who meet the AbilityOne requirements (blind or have significant disabilities).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Must be able to set up a lot of material for spreading, ensuring tension-free spreading, and maximizing utilization
Be able to review the fabric for defects as the lay is spread and inspect the cut as necessary.
Must be able to identify and record the yards of defective fabric, by roll number, and provide the information to Quality Control.
