As a Phlebotomist you will performs blood collection and specimen processing. Assist with clerical duties as requested. Maintains laboratory collection turnaround time. Establishes and maintains good communication within the department and with other hospital departments.
Follows blood collection procedures, performs venous and capillary punctures on all age groups of inpatient and outpatient populations. Utilizes appropriate collection techniques to obtain quality samples and adheres to appropriate volume requirements.
Performs Blood Bank collections. Follows written collection and Blood Bank banding procedures. Maintains order and cleanliness of phlebotomy trays, stations and storage rooms.
High School diploma/GED

Luke's Health - Patients Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services-wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women's services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.
