CAD DRAFTER (full time)

Jacksonville-based, locally owned and operated civil engineering firms are seeking a Civil CAD Designer / Engineering Technician . The role requires knowledge of civil engineering methods, techniques, procedures, land development processes, and experience with Autodesk Civil 3D. Familiarity with common civil engineering processes is essential.
Requirements:
2-5 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Knowledge in civil design, land development, and utility projects
Understanding of water, sewer, paving, and drainage systems
Ability to read, interpret, and compile civil engineering design plans for submission to agencies such as the Florida Water Management Districts, FDOT, and DEP, under supervision
Experience with Pond Modeling (ADICPR, Ponds, etc.) is preferred but not required
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Knowledge of civil engineering methods, techniques, and procedures
Proficiency in computerized drafting, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and calculations
Capacity to learn and apply policies and procedures
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to compose professional correspondence
Following written and oral instructions accurately
Establishing effective working relationships with colleagues, officials, and the public
