Dental Hygienist - Fulltime

The Dental Hygienist provides professional dental care in the field of dental hygiene including all related clinical procedures. Has broad responsibilities for clinical and community dental health education activities.

oral hygiene instructions including proper tooth brushing, flossing, nutrition, as well as the need for professional care.

Application of topical fluorides; screen and evaluate patients regarding caries detection, periodontal pathology, oral cancer, and medical history.

supra and sub gingival scaling and root planning.

Procedures involving team periodontal surgical techniques; administration of local anesthetics.

Carry out oral health assessment and record the medical history of the patient.

Accurately documents information in patient records.

Primarily responsible for the initiation and maintenance of the dental prevention and dental education program.

Assists in the training of dental assistants.

Working knowledge of all phases of the field of dental hygiene.

Skills in the techniques of oral hygiene procedures and the use of equipment, instruments, and materials.

Knowledge and practice of preventative dentistry and ability to instruct patients individually and in groups.

Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Hygiene.

Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of practice.

Applicant must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve.

Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.

All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
