Dietitian - Flexible Full Time or Part Time

Description
This is a mobile role traveling between multiple SNF/LTC/AL communities across the St. Charles, MO area. The role averages 32-38 hours per week onsite and includes an additional 4 hours every quarter for three assisted living communities (weekday, business hours) with some remote work between visits. The consultant will be responsible to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and any nutrition referrals for high‑risk residents. Travel reimbursement is provided. This position can be filled by one or more RDs.

This position earns competitive pay depending on experience and current needs.

A Day in the Life of a Registered Dietitian (RD)
As a Long‑Term Care consulting Registered Dietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of residents, provide nutrition education, contribute to the MDS, and formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager. You guide dining services, including meal rounds, sanitation best practices, and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor effective nutritional care systems.

Qualifications
Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentials.

Licensed (if required by State).

2 years of consulting experience preferred, but many factors considered. Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, strong interpersonal and communication skills, professional representation, and coaching and mentoring abilities.

Work Schedule
Some flexibility during an M-F schedule is offered.

Experience
Clinical Nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification
CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)

State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
