RDA/DENTAL ASSISTANCE

Our office, Juan C. Alonso DMD a PC in North Bergen, NJ, is seeking a talented dental assistant to assist our Oral Surgeon in a busy specialty practice.

We are looking for a skilled dental assistant experienced with oral surgery to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world‑class specialty experience for every patient. Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.

Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and providing assistance as required.

Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.

Prepare and provide post‑operative instructions and materials to patients.

Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.

Facilitate or coordinate other office responsibilities as required.

Experience in oral surgery, passion for patient care, proactive and collegial attitude, with the following qualifications:

At least 3-5 years experience as a dental assistant; oral surgery specialty preferred.

Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.

Understanding of health & safety regulations.

Ability to perform regulated non‑surgical tasks.

High school diploma.

Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law).

Active state radiology license (if required by law).

Experience with dental X‑ray (licensed).

Good computer skills; bilingual (Spanish preferred) - optional.
