Salesperson for Retail Sales

We know that professional success depends on personal wellbeing. The Sales Associate provides fast and friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. This role maintains the condition of the sales floor, ensuring that it is clean and shoppable. They will also make deliveries and test/install car batteries.

Provide exceptional, friendly customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
Greet every customer with a positive attitude & smile
Engage customers to understand their needs using open-ended questions
Maintain strong product knowledge to confidently assist and advise customers
Promote special offers, and current sales to enhance the customer experience
Drive sales by recommending "good, better, best" options and related add-on items
Meet or exceed individual sales goals and performance expectations
Accurately process transactions and handle cash and card payments via a Point of Sale System
Assist with inventory tasks, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise
Keep the store clean, well-stocked, and easy to shop
Perform basic battery testing and installation, including automotive batteries
Complete local deliveries using a company vehicle, as needed
Team-oriented environment with individual performance expectations
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred but not required)
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
Scope Data:
Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs
Primarily retail store setting, however, frequently exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, dampness and battery acid as is normal to warehouse environment in this business
Stress associated with workplace pressure and the retail environment.
