Environmental Health & Safety Engineering

You will be the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer working second shift for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Camden, AR. Our team is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant operational environment across the site.

Identify hazardous workplace conditions and take preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances, remove hazards and/or protect employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment.

Take effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained.

Shift and Schedule

This is a Third shift position. Hours for Third Shift are typically Monday‑Thursday, from 8pm‑6:30am. The schedule for this position is 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.

Citizen and Clearance Requirements

S. CITIZEN. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Ability to evaluate, apply, audit, and communicate regulatory compliance requirements.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, across levels of the organization.

Proficient with computer‑based tools and applications (Microsoft Office business programs).

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an employee possessor (of explosives or other ATF‑regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Background working knowledge of Explosive Safety and Engineering practices.

Fundamental understanding of occupational safety and health requirements in manufacturing and construction operations.

Experience with robotics and other automated production tooling.

Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience.

Proficient in reporting and accounting tools used at the site, such as Microsoft Office e.g., Excel, Teams, and SharePoint is a plus.

Pursuit of industry recognized certifications in the Safety, Health, or Environmental disciplines.

Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Business Unit: MISSILES AND FIRE CONTROL
