RN | Emergency Department - University | PRN Job

Location: HCA Florida University Freestanding ER (5234 E Fowler Avenue, Temple Terrace, FL 33617).

Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the emergency department, collaborating with medical providers and interdisciplinary team members. The RN uses established nursing models to advocate for patients and families while aligning with the organization’s vision and mission.

Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and document care promptly and thoroughly.

Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology into clear understanding.

Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or with an appropriate compact license; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.

Nursing Diploma or ASN required; Minimum of one year ER RN experience required for PRN status.

Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required within 6 months of hire.

Current Critical Pedagogy Instruction (CPI) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications required within 6 months of hire.

Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
