Unit Overview:

Number of Beds: 37

Number of Staff: 12

Staff Composition:

Day Shift: 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, 1 Unit Clerk

Night Shift: 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs

Patient Ratios: 1:6; 1:4 for Heart Cath patients (estimated, not guaranteed)

Type of Equipment: PCA Pumps, IV Pumps, Chest Tubes

EMR System: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile:

Required Skills:

Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital telemetry experience

BLS & ACLS certifications

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience with Meditech

NIHSS certification

Typical Procedures:

Central lines

Medication drips

Heart Catheter recovery

Bubble studies

Personality Fit:
