Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Healthcare Setting: Acute care, 26-bed medical-surgical unit

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010

Three 12-hour night shifts per week, approximately 7:00 p.m.–Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays required

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract

Travel RN Job Requirements
Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Connecticut

At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

Previous travel nursing experience required; Previous Epic experience required

Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and designated holidays

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with a variety of general medical diagnoses.

Assess patients, develop and update individualized care plans, and evaluate responses to treatment.

Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, including neurological assessments and telemetry-related monitoring as indicated.

Collaborate with providers, nursing colleagues, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, patient care assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

Provide patient and family education to support recovery, safety, and discharge planning.

Maintain timely, accurate documentation in Epic and support a safe, organized patient-care environment.
