The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused Cook to join our team! This position is responsible for full-scope, hands on production cooking in the Culinary Services Department.
Ability to work all stations in the kitchen.
Efficiently runs assigned station during the shift, follow all specs, and stock food as needed.
Maintains the quality of food and plate presentation.
Prepares all soups, stocks, sauces; Prepares and serves all sauted, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items as per standardized recipes.
Prepares or directs the preparation of all food served, following standard recipes and special diet orders. Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food is preserved.
Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and seeing that supplies are obtained from storage areas in adequate time for meal production.
A minimum of three years' experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution.
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
