The Used Car Buyer will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.

Salary: $5000 - $12000 / month, based on performance

Approach and interface with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
Utilize Sonic Automotive automated inventory management system to track and manage vehicle acquisitions.
Provide guidance and support to dealership Sales Associates regarding used vehicle purchasing.
Introduce guests to sales department personnel to facilitate new vehicle sales after purchasing their existing vehicle.
Attend daily trade walks, sales meetings, and training courses as requested by management.
Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local automotive sales laws, vehicle equity, values, and depreciation concepts.
Establish and achieve personal income goals consistent with dealership productivity standards.
Report to Supervisor regarding objectives, activities, and analyses; review performance daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to improve effectiveness.
High school diploma or the equivalent required.
High level of customer service is required.
Professional personal appearance.
Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards.
Outstanding Computer skills required.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

The Used Car Buyer Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $18.00 The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or number of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit)
