Defense Associate Attorney

A respected and well-established defense firm in Greenville, SC is seeking a motivated Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a junior attorney (1–3 years of experience) looking to develop strong litigation skills in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage workers’ compensation defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
• Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy
• Work directly with employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and opposing counsel
• Participate in hearings before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of legal experience preferred
• Workers’ compensation or civil litigation background is a plus
• Licensed in South Carolina or ability to obtain promptly
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Professional, client-focused approach with a desire to grow
