Experience: Minimum of 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required.
License: Active Iowa or Multistate nursing license required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Must-Have:
Minimum of 24 months of current Medical Surgical experience.
Post-operative surgical experience preferred.
Patient care experience in hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries preferred.
PCA and Heparin experience required.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system required.
Description:We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical specialty.This position requires working four 12-hour shifts on the night shift.Nurses must be willing to float across different facilities as required.Patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 1:4-5.The unit cares for patients undergoing hip/knee surgeries, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries.The ability to provide emotional support to patients, as well as utilizing an on-site emotional support canine, is essential.Candidates will be required to work 1-2 of the three major summer holidays unless the unit is closed.This is an excellent opportunity for first-time travelers who meet the experience and certification requirements.
