Server-Full-Service Restaurant _(Full-Time)

Server

Ensure that all guests are served to community standards in the dining areas. Highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated and displayed at all times within all dining service areas. Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to all residents and guests as per the standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner under the direct supervision of the Service Manager and/or Sous Chef and/or Director of Dining/Executive Chef.

Full-time.

Greets residents and guests and presents them with the menu.

Takes food and beverage orders from the resident/guest on the order taking pads or on the handheld Point of sale (POS) system.

Punch the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the resident/guest while ordering the food; (Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries.

Coordinate with the bus person and/or kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and resident/guest satisfaction.

Serve food and beverage to the guest as per the course of order.

Observes residents/guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.

Promptly respond to resident/guest with any additional request

Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.

Assist bus persons with stocking and maintain the restaurant par stock levels and side station.

Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions for Take-Out.

Close the shift on the POS terminal.

Other duties assigned by supervisor or manager including but not limited to this list.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous serving experience preferred.
