This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.Work within broad guidelines and policies.Required SkillsCommercial / Industrial HVAC experienceAbility to use CMMS system and emailAbility to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.Preferred SkillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentPrior shift manager or supervisory experienceEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma requiredTrade School / Apprenticeship Program (accepted in combination with experience in lieu of diploma)Required Experience4–5 years of job-related HVAC experience required.
