Writer/Editor - Part Time

What We Can Achieve Together The Writer/Editor is responsible for leading the development, writing, editing, and management of a portfolio of existing grants. This part-time, short-term position works collaboratively with development, conservation, and finance staff to secure and steward institutional funding that advances The Nature Conservancy’s mission and strategic goals. The Writer/Editor collaborates with program and finance staff to develop compelling grant proposals, oversee grant reporting and compliance requirements, maintain grant records and submission deadlines, and identify prospective funding opportunities. The Writer/Editor prepares proposals and reports, and translates programmatic and technical information into clear, persuasive narratives that strengthen relationships with current funders and help secure new sources of philanthropic support.

This is a part-time position (21 hours per week) with a six-week duration.
Responsibilities & Scope Manages multiple grant-writing and reporting, projects simultaneously and serve as project lead on assigned initiatives.
Ensures accountability for meeting project goals, deliverables, and deadlines.
Works collaboratively across departments to gather information, develop proposals, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 7 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience crafting organization- or company-wide communication tools, including branding.
Experience writing, editing and proofreading messages for targeted audiences.
Experience implementing, and managing multiple complex projects.
Experience in journalism or fundraising writing and editing.
Excellent writing, presentation, communication skills.
Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in relevant discipline.
Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data.
