Join Our Dynamic ER Team as an Experienced RN!
Job Description:

- Shift Details:

• 12-hour shifts in the Evening and Night
• Various Shift Times: 1330-0200, 1530-0400 & 1930-0800
• Weekend requirements: Occasional as needed
• Float to Boise Medical Center or Nampa Medical Center is rare

- Department Overview:
- Trauma Level IV ER, currently working towards Level III designation
- 45 beds including specialized areas:

• 4 hallway beds
• 4 vertical rooms
• 1 trauma bay
• 1 resuscitation bay
• 1 cardiac room
• Fast Track: Vertical space for rapid assessment
• Separate Triage area and 4 psych rooms available

- Patient Care Details:

• Average of 170 patients treated in the ER each day
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5

- Common Diagnoses:

• Stroke, STEMI, Trauma, Abdominal pain
• High acuity ESI level I patients
• Must stabilize and ship out pediatric patients

- Qualifications & Skills:

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC
• Minimum of 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience from a bigger urban hospital setting
• Preferred trauma experience
• Proficient in managing common drips: Nicardipine, Propofol, Fentanyl, Norepi, Nitro, Versed, Precedex

- Support Staff & Equipment:

• On each shift: Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, and Admin Supervisor (Charge Nurse does not take assignments)
• Security available in-house 24/7
• RN and CNA support for drawings and lab work
• Respiratory Therapy (RT) in the ER 24/7, managing all equipment

- Orientation & Scheduling:

• Orientation includes 1 shift on the floor post Epic and hospital orientation
• Flexible scheduling with no block scheduling
• Holiday and Standby requirements as needed
• Clean and professional attire required, no specific color mandated
